Doan Ly, a floral designer and photographer based in New York City, will discuss her creative process in floral design and storytelling, and finding the theatricality of the moment. Recognized by her dreamy palettes and compositions, her work often revolves around the colors and flowers that pass through her studio, as well as the guests who visit, the assistants who work for her, and occasionally, even the lunch delivery person. Together they form an ensemble of performers, models, and subjects for Ly’s collaborative experiments.
Enjoy a conversation with Doan in the Fath Auditorium (ground level) and lunch to be enjoyed in the courtyard or on the Art Climb. Following the program, you will experience Ly’s floral installations throughout the museum.
$75, includes lunch and access to Art in Bloom following the event. Reservations required.
