Conservation of East Asian scroll paintings is an ancient art, which requires specialized skills and a particular type of expertise. In this lecture, Qian He, Asian Art Conservator at the University of Michigan Museum of Art, will introduce this art form by sharing his experiences treating numerous Chinese and Japanese paintings.
