Create Plus: Draw the Harvest at Civic Garden Center
Learn about urban gardening and create a mixed-media still life artwork in this workshop for teens and adults, inspired by the exhibition Farm to Table: Food and Identity in the Age of Impressionism. Explore the edible gardens of the Civic Garden Center (CGC) with a guided tour by CGC staff, harvesting ripe veggies along the way. Then, with the guidance of artist Devan Horton, create a still life tableau and use watercolors, colored pencils, and other drawing tools to capture the harvest. Enjoy fresh and seasonal snacks from La Soupe as you work. No art experience necessary; all levels are welcome!
Participants will receive one ticket voucher each to view Farm to Table: Food and Identity in the Age of Impressionism at the Cincinnati Art Museum at their convenience.
This event will take place off-site from the museum at the Civic Garden Center.
